the song first struck me way back in poly year 2 upon release of The Matrix trilogy. nope, i didn't watch any of the shows. happened upon the soundtrack and got hooked. then SAJC's dance society performed the piece to near perfection. i watched in utter admiration.
like WOW. amazing how something so simple can end up so complex at the same time.
never understood what the lyrics to Navras meant until GJP interpreted and deciphered it to be Sanskrit.
boy do we love friends who have extraordinary talents. (i didn't know he was a bboy too until like 17.178 minutes ago, but that's beside the point :p)
the first few lines really made me sit up, crank in and listen. it boomed:
asato ma sad gamaya
tamaso ma jyotir gamaya
mrutyor ma amrtam gamaya
translated to:
From delusion lead me to truth
From darkness lead me to light
From death lead me to immortality
