alright. i am back. but hardly in a healthy state.
booked out for the 2nd time yesterday for all the wrong reasons really.

it was the 1st day of field camp and I was already stricken with red eyes. it wasn't full blown conjunctivitis at that point yet i think. was told to monitor my own situation and report it the next day if it got worse
2nd day of field camp and my eye wasn't getting any better. got a lot worse in fact and there was yellow discharge oozing from both eyes. got evacuated to the medical center and warded for one night there. loneliest and most silent night i ever endured i think. would have foamed at all open bodily orifices and died from spasms of boredom if it wasn't for some chatty ward mates who sought to cheer up the perpetually emo and pessimistic me.
3rd day and I was discharged to go home. by now i knew that re-field camp was imminent and it would have to be with some other company with complete strangers. no choice, have to go through it to clear BMT.
tonner arrived back at company line with my stuff and woah, my bed buddy Turtle came with it. along with 2 other conjunc. cases. seems like the situation's serious. i wouldn't know really. booked out with Turtle, due back at Tekong on Sunday. both a good and bad thing. sigh...

so yeah, am recuperating at home. eyes still bloodshot and red. am looking like the green goblin.

*MEDICAL UPDATE*
alright. so i got my MC extended to the 8th and now i'm wasting away at home. like I feel my body going all weak and soft and i'm actually falling sick because of NOT TRAINING. visited private GP and he told me about a burst blood vessel in my right eye. sounds serious, but actually not. very minimal risk of blindness(i hope)
someone get me back to Tekong man. it sucks when you have rare free time off from the army and then everyone else isn't free to hang out or chill. ultimate bummer.
so yeah. someone rescue me from my cold damp corner and throw me into some sunshine or sweat. SOS
