it was Father's Day yesterday. so the old man and me went down to Geylang. yes, incredible, what a wonderful way to bond with your father..... over a table full of durians, that is.
ate my heart out and then ate some more. and washed everything down with coconut juice. shiokness really, after a full month's protein diet and not eating anything junk food at all. but it sure seems like sessions of the above are unlikely to repeat themselves anytime soon. sighhh
cab down to Boat Quay to hook up with the guys after that. Weijian was due to enlist the very next morning. some major communications cock-up led to me running like a headless chicken around ClarkeQuay/BoatQuay area. realized i lost a lot of my fitness.
finally met up with the 3 musketeers and everyone was pissed. hahaha. Dale drove off to Serangoon Gardens for makan and togo and we went to RK HOUSE. didn't order anything related to pork though. the service standards there were horrible.
i think the indian workers there get played at least once a day because of that infamous RK HOUSE audio clip and they have now developed intense disdain for the chinese ahbengs(US).
makan was awesome really. there was indian rojak, prata and satay. i polished off most of the satay and felt like a walking trashcan due to tip over and spill its contents anytime.

proceeded to locate some Japanese cemetery park and that took quite a while. cheap thrills really, but personally i wouldn't mess with the supernatural. its the respect of something unknown, yet mysteriously alluring in its own right.
finally located said cemetery, but didn't walk or drive in. did shine the headlights through the metal grilled gate and man, pitch black. realized that we were behaving like jackasses and disregarding the peace of the night, so drove off. should have muttered a silent prayer of apology. 80metres down the road just behind the fenced border of the cemetery park, there was a children's playground.
