but its quite an interesting start to a blog entry.
quite a packed week really. it was the BBQ one day, then Ikea trip the other and capped by Zouk night out and soccer watching @ Balcony bar.
am both financially and physically drained as we type.
----------
BBQ was great fun. i was messing and clowning around as usual. YY and Isk got ever more intimate with one another and yeah, was kinda nice seeing everyone again. most looking rosy and happy.
played really dumb games. and the punishment meted out involved finishing up leftovers. i loved satay and made YY buy $15 more specially for me. bad move really. had to finish up everything when i lost the last competitive round of Bluff. shouldn't have listened to Isk. for the first time in my life i was afraid of satay and otah. poor Isk seemed to be without luck in everything he did. lost and lost and got ribbed over and over again. consecutive cocksucker. hahaha
Dexun was being plain entertaining. ever so colorful with his language. every sentence has to begin with a profanity. but it managed to tickle all of us. good entertainment right there. his 'spats' with Isk really cracked me up.
and then we took pictures. lots of em. but i look like a caveman in most of them. except this one :

i love my headband. random, but true. took a lot more pics on the way home. especially at the bus stop outside parkway parade. i love the camera, but im sure it doesn't feel the same way for me.
----------
shopping trip to Ikea the very next day. bought like 5 cushions and until now i'm still wondering why i bought them. bought cheap blinds as well to test out on my window. would be returning to get venetian blinds.
bought an office armchair at Courts. was out of stock, so had to place an order. the guy who took my order and processed it had a serious anxiety attack. he was fidgeting, sweating and continuously tapping on the Backspace button when he listened to my request. and i don't think i'm scary either.
but HE scared me in fact. there were lotsa mistakes in the receipt and i had to make him correct it about 3 times. boy i prayed that he didn't cock up my order to the main Courts warehouse.
the chair arrived on the next day and was in good condition. i'm a happy customer. spent almost $200 on it inclusive of delivery. original price was $349!

i love my chair.

zouk trip+soccer hangout day for sec sch mates and I on Wednesday. Weijian brought his friend along and her name was... Ophelia. this is getting tooo freaky really.
but i shall only say that the person didn't do the name in my dream any justice at all. was seriously a let down and I was even disgusted at some moments. typical poly chinese speaking type and was quite loud at times. turn off. make no mistake, i have nothing against poly students. good mateys of mine would gladly testify. but poly bengs/lians/mats/minahs who pretend to be someone they are very obviously not... thats a big NO NO for me.
you know those types who speak English in a faux accent. pretend to like art and throw names/terms at you?
and then promptly decide to change the topic once you engage them in discussions a little beyond the surface?
zouk was boring me out initially. then it started to get fun, fun and FUN. music got a lot better and i got quite amazed at how some people can dance to every single mambo song. melissa, we should learn mambo and get on the platform one day.
i had no idea why my mates were so into(and deluded) about the whole DANCE-NEAR-HOT-GIRL-AND-GRIND-HER-THEN-GET-TO-KNOW-HER-THEN-ASK-FOR-NUMBER
-THEN-SCORE-BIG-TIME-WITH-HOT-GIRL thing. it doesn't happen for everyone just like that! *snaps fingers*. does that mentality scream adolescent or what.
and they failed miserably at it really.
i was left thinking if they hit clubs to practice picking up girls or to truly enjoy, kick back and chillout.
now i won't deny that i went through a phase like that too. had a few drinks too many and thought that i was Orlando Bloom with a bulging wallet. tried hitting on hot ladies on the dance floor or bar counter. didn't go very well i must say. those days are.. glad to say, far behind me.
yeah. its all part of the clubbing scene lah uh. thats understandable really because guys would be guys. they get a little...hmmm.. over-adventurous and hyped up from the atmosphere. but its guys like my mates who give clubbing a bad name.

watched man united's match against AC milan and we got thumped. the single goal advantage didn't even help our confidence a single bit. was really really downcast at the result. what an insult.
and the very next day, my manchester united home jersey arrived in the mail. sigh oh sigh.

why united, why. i dislike wes brown.
