yah. suffering now. grass causes rash and all sorts of itching sensations to appear on my limbs.
but important thing was having fun i think. most proud of my achievement where i got the better of George THRICE. are you reading this, GJP ? hahaha
but our man had his revenge by scoring through my legs with a tame effort. ARGH. should have worn a sarong.
lotsa running and physical play involved. soccer makes a good workout. i think i get very vocal when i kick balls around. always shouting and getting crude.
one of the guys should probably come up and shut me up. but its annoying when people insist on playing like some superstar they aren't and end up losing the ball and then causing a deficit.
soccer's a passing game la. i know i go on and on.
----------
been rather unproductive at home too. been finding myself in the room gaming almost everyday away. not very productive.
but the thought of going out and spending money is a big deterrent. should start planning trips that are fun, cheap and possibly educational. thoughts of Pulau Ubin stream back in.
maybe fishing and crabbing might do good. biking too. wouldn't mind more soccer though.
----------
couple of birthdays this week as well.
birthday congrats go out to Melissa, Rebecca and Saw. all a year older now and hopefully wiser.
we are all growing up fast even when we don't want to.
i can so visualize myself in camo green and black at this time of next year. rather depressing.
and Valentine's Day is creeping up on us too. i look back at the past two years and i thank you for everything you were and gave. first time in two years alone and it feels somewhat. vacuous.
felt like so much has happened.....
first the perfume at the bus stop. it was rather uncertain, but you still smiled, that smile lit up every single morning of mine. you never knew that, or did you? i couldn't walk you up as I was rushing to board the bus to travel 1hr 30 mins down to school. but tried to recompense by promising to call later at night. I didn't. I'm sorry. Must have felt really empty at school amidst all the couples. I felt it and was powerless. I knew you were hurt. It pricked me.
a year passed and the big day was around the corner again. i remembered this day for the bouquet of flowers. i woke up early, ponned school, surprised you with the bouquet, then walked you to school. your bemused reaction followed by the 'awwwwwwwwww' drew a wide beam on my face. i must have looked like an idiot grinning from side to side. your friends were there, you didn't seem to be bothered by their jibes. yes, 5 red and 1 pink. i remembered. its what every lady deserved on V-Day and especially such a beautiful one shouldn't be caught dead in school without the saccharine accompaniment of roses, i said. you said it was corny.
am overwhelmed by emotions now. but the tears simply won't flow again. wouldn't it have been better if I could just cry and wash all that pain down the gutter. just as you did.
I'm picking up the pieces and moving on.
thank you.
