a day that will live on in infamy.
hahaha. k lar. maybe not infamy afterall. that was meant to copy the infamous after- Pearl Harbour speech
the speech that spurred the United States of America to war.
24/08/06 was the date 5 frens embarked on a one day adventure to Pulau Ubin.
and it sure was one heck of an adventure.
----------
Everyone was late for the meeting up at Yishun mrt.
then everyone realised that everyone didnt know how to go to Ubin from Yishun.
so much for K.C 's " i-know-yishun-got-straight-bus-to-changi-jetty" remark.
haha. well. went from YISHUN - ANGMOKIO - SENGKANG - CHANGI. madness la
makan-ed at sengkang. past by MJC on bus 109. ironically i was messaging lappie at that very moment. hahaha. weird zing to it.
and then after more crap-talk, we FINALLY arrived at Changi Jetty. like HWAH.
that already was an achievement. hahaha. ferry ride across to Ubin cost like $2 each.
sea breeze was a welcome relief. moods were relaxed and composed. everyone was ready for the ride ahead.
----------
Ubin's a place filled with rustic charm. a place largely untouched by urban development. got our bikes and the race began !. woohoo.
i think the place kinda widened ALL our perspectives la. many of us are born and raised in the city. completely unexposed to country life at all.
dirt biking was like fantastic. up and down mudflats, jungle trails. didnt really take any of the conventional
trails. too basic and no challenge at all.
Isk and Alan got like mighty chuffed out. see ah. very good example of not exercising regularly. wuhahaha.
was definitely a memorable birthday celebration for Isk. with friends like us, like who needs enemies UH ?!
regular breaks and wait-ups for Isk & Alan. but no one minded la. afterall, no one gets left behind lehhh.
hours and hours went by. and we sorta combed the whole island already. the maps provided are uber- inaccurate.
decided to cam-whore in the middle of the greenery. and yeah, under the sun too. funny we are.
----------
long water break and up running again. this time to a closed up jetty that was newly constructed.
we had to climb fences, trees, overcome thick undergrowth and dirty beaches/mangroves to get there.
but it was well worth it la. the jetty was like. smack right in the middle of the sea. gives you the middle-of-nowhere feel. as evident in the pic below.
clockwise; K.C, Alan, Isk, Fhai & Ced
----------
did more exploration and only returned to the settlement around 5pm. an hour early.
returned the badly bruised bikes and massaged horrifyingly bruised bottoms. lousy bike seats.
not bad at all. overall good feel to it all. its like some kinda endurance race thingy.
makan-ed at Changi Village. dear friend K.C thought up nonsensical ideas and plans.
we all know what Changi Village is famous for yeah people.. and hmmmmm. Isk's birthday too.
hahaha. didnt materialise though. thank god. makan-ed dinner and cam-whored again.
we are in reality a bunch of girls in short hair.
----------
bus trip to Bishan mrt on way home was uneventful.
i know that we slept virtually the whole 1 hour journey away. mouths open, deadbeat tired and smelling like hippos
then train transfer at Bishan up to Yishun/Woodlands
We were all walking zombies by now. freak accident happened.
Fhai tapped ez-link card on the holder that K.C was supposed to walk through. I was behind Fhai and i tapped my card on another holder.
RESULT : Fhai and I got through, K.C was stuck outside.and we were all left wondering how it happened. must have been really BLUR COCKS.
so not surprisingly, we created quite a scene and held up the line A LITLE.
and after that, its pretty much home sweet home.
my zen micro died on me

today, my arse still hurts.
